Robert Naglee

Robert Naglee has been with the Oregon Symphony as second Bassoon since auditioning for Maestro Bellugi in 1959. He has served as Principal Bassoon at the Bloch Festival and has performed at the Grand Teton Festival and Chamber Music Northwest, among others.

Robert is a member of the Bassoon Brothers Quartet (www.bassoonbrothers.com) which has performed extensively in the past years for many varied audiences, from school children to prisoners.

He and his wife of 45 years, Betty, enjoy spending time at their home on the Nehalem River and fishing off the Oregon Coast in their 22-foot C-Dory. They are also active members in the Viper Club of America, Oregon region (www.OregonViperClub.org) and own an early production 1994 Dodge Viper which has become quite familiar with some of the North Oregon Coast's back roads.
