Mary Grant, Horn

Mary joined the Oregon Symphony in 1994. Since coming to Oregon, she has performed at the Bloch Festival and the Sunriver Music Festival during the summers.

Previously, Ms. Grant held positions with the Florida Orchestra, Orquestra Sinfonica de Mineria in Mexico City, and the Richmond (Virginia) Symphony. While living in Richmond, Ms. Grant served on the faculty of the University of Virginia and was a member of the faculty woodwind quintet.

She performs frequently with the Minnesota Orchestra, with whom she has toured Europe and Japan.

She received her musical training at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with Myron Bloom. She continued her studies with Philip Myers of the New York Philharmonic and Kendall Betts of the Minnesota Orchestra.
