The image at right is one of a series of oil–on–paper drawings by George Johanson inspired by the Oregon Symphony. George Johanson is a Portland painter and printmaker with a long record of exhibitions of his work. He is a professor emeritus of the Pacific Northwest College of Art, and is represented in many public and private collections.
